Cases of anthrax did not only occur in Gunung Kidul but similar incidents have also been reported in several places.
Anthrax was first discovered in Indonesia in Betung Bay, Lampung Province in 1884. In 1885 it was reported in Buleleng (Bali), Rawas (Palembang) and Lampung.

In 1886, it was reported that it occurred in the Banten Padang area, West Kalimantan and East Kalimantan.
Anthrax endemic areas in Indonesia cover 11 provinces, namely West Java. Central Java, Special Region of Yogyakarta, West Nusa Tenggara, East, West Nusa Tenggara, Jambi, Sumatra or Lampung, Southeast Sulawesi, and the Special Capital Region of Jakarta.

Ali hopes that the livestock and animal health service officers will carry out patrols in order to control the possible spread of anthrax.
For breeders, if they find strange symptoms, they immediately report it to the relevant service.
